Beer Duty Frozen

For the second year running, Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond has frozen the duty payable on beer in the Budget.

The move should mean no immediate increases in the cost of a pint.

The Chancellor also announced a review of Small Breweries’ Relief, the system under which the smallest breweries pay less tax than large businesses.
