Heineken Takes Minority Holding in Beavertown

Print
News: June 2018

London brewery Beavertown has announced a new partnership with global giant Heineken.

The deal sees Heineken acquire a minority share of the business for an undisclosed fee, but will allow Beavertown to operate at arm’s length, with founder and chief executive Logan Plant still in charge.

The investment will allow Beavertown to construct a new £40 million brewing centre and visitor experience called Beaverworld in London and to increase its capacity ten fold, to 450,000 hl (approximately 275,000 barrels) per year. The site is planned to open in autumn 2019 and, over time, the company expects the move to create 150 new jobs.
