BrewDog Opens Sour Beer Facility

Print
News: April 2018

Scotland’s BrewDog brewery has officially opened its Overworks sour beer facility.

The new unit, constructed at a cost of £4.5 million, sits across the road from the company’s brewery in Ellon, near Aberdeen, and is producing a range of beers primarily fermented with Brettanomyces. Some beers include fruits and some are barrel aged.

In charge of the facility is Richard Kilcullen, formerly head of sour beer production at the North Carolina brewery Wicked Weed.
