Twenty-Four Female Brewers Collaborate

Two dozen of the UK’s foremost female beer specialists are to join forces to create a new collaborative beer.

Jenn Merrick, BrewerThe group includes fourteen brewers, seven undergraduates and three lecturers/former students from Heriot-Watt University, including representatives from Truman’s, Cloudwater, Wiper & True, Fuller’s and Burnt Mill.

Led by Jenn Merrick (pictured), former head brewer of Beavertown and founder of the community-based brewery Earth Station, they are getting together at Pressure Drop Brewing to produce a limited-edition kettle sour beer, featuring seasonal fruits, herbs and botanicals.

The beer will be available at the Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival (25–28 May), the London Craft Beer Festival (3–5 August) and the Bristol Craft Beer Festival (14–16 September) and also in limited-edition small pack format.
