New Brewery Plans Revealed by Charles Wells

Print
News: March 2018

Bedfordshire brewery Charles Wells has submitted a planning application for a new brewery.

The company, founded in 1876, sold its Eagle Brewery in Bedford to Marston’s in 2017, but is now hoping to construct a new 30,000-hl brewery in the same town.

The £13 million site will include a pub and a visitor centre. It will be used to produce the ‘Charlie Wells’ range of beers such as Dry Hopped Lager and Triple Hopped IPA. Established Charles Wells brands such as Eagle IPA and Bombardier will continue to be brewed at the Marston’s brewery in Bedford.
