Papazian Stands Down from Brewers Association

News: January 2018

Charlie Papazian, the man lauded by many as the driving force behind the American craft beer revolution, is to leave the craft brewers’ trade body, the Brewers Association (BA).

Papazian co-founded the American Homebrewers Association, the forerunner to the BA, in 1978 and devised the Great American Beer Festival in 1982 but is now to retire having reached the age of seventy.

As a beer writer, Papazian is one of the most successful ever, with books like The Complete Joy of Home Brewing still eagerly sought after by beer connoisseurs.
