New Strategy for British Beer Exports

News: October 2017

The British Beer & Pub Assocation (BBPA) has unveiled a new export strategy for British beers.

Part of a governmental food and drink export plan, the strategy – funded by £100 million over five years – involves the creation of an ‘export hub’ on a new BBPA website; a ‘best practice guide’ to ensure British beer is served in top condition around the world; and work and liaison with government to target markets and develop frictionless trade with the EU and other markets.

According to BBPA figures, beer exports from the UK were valued at £583 million in 2016 – third on the list of food products exported.
