Everards on the Move

Print
News: June 2017

Midlands brewer Everards is to leave its home at Castle Acres, Leicester, by the end of October, with all brewing ceasing at the end of July.

The company has been looking to sell the site for development and has plans for a new, smaller brewery on a different location in the city. However, progress on the deal has been slow and Everards has decided to move out ahead of a confirmed sale and take up residence in a new logistics facility at Glenfield, until funds from the sale are confirmed and work can begin in earnest on the new brewery.

Until the new brewery is constructed, Everards’ beers will be produced by Robinsons (Tiger and Beacon Hill) and Joules (Old Original, Sunchaser and limited-run beers). Everards beers from these sources have been on sale alongside Leicester-brewed beer since the start of this year.
