More Breweries Go for Crowdfunding

Print
News: February 2017

Three more beer companies are hoping to expand by generating finance through crowdfunding.

The Wild Beer Co. in Somerset is raising an initial £1.5 million to construct a new brewery, complete with taproom, restaurant and corporate facilities, at the Bath & West Showground. Meanwhile, Scotland’s Bellfield Brewery – which claims to be the UK’s first dedicated gluten-free brewery – is looking to raise £500,000 to boost expansion.

Toast Ale – which produces beer using surplus fresh bread – is aiming to save more than 100 tonnes of bread waste by expanding its range of beers to include a lager and a session IPA with the help of a £20,000 crowdfunding campaign.
