Marston’s Establishes Own Hop Garden

News: October 2016

The Marston’s Beer Company has invested in a five-year project to establish a new hop garden in Kent.

The garden at Hayle Farm in Horsmonden uses land formerly used for grazing sheep and is run by father and son Clive and Richard Edmed, who already cultivate hops on other areas of the farm.

The two acres supported by Marston’s are now growing Sovereign hops for the brewer, with the first harvest expected next year.
