CAMRA Names Top Regional Pubs

Sixteen pubs have been singled out by the Campaign for Real Ale as the best around Britain. The list contains a mix of outlets, from community-owned pubs to micro-pubs and pubs that have been in the same family for generations. It includes the following: Central Southern: Cross Keys, Thame East Anglia: Stanford Arms, Lowestoft East Midlands: Old Oak Inn, Horsley Woodhouse Greater London: Hope, Carshalton Greater Manchester: Baum, Rochdale Kent: Rifle Volunteers, Maidstone Merseyside & Cheshire: Cricketers, St Helens North East: Steamboat, South Shields Scotland & Northern Ireland: Volunteer Arms (Staggs), Musselburgh South West: Salutation, Ham Surrey & Sussex: Brooksteed Alehouse, Worthing Wales: Arvon Ale House, Llandrindod Wells Wessex: The Bottle Inn, Marshwood, Dorset West Midlands: Earl Grey, Leek West Pennines: Swan with Two Necks, Pendleton Yorkshire: George & Dragon, Hudswell The regional winners will now go forward in the search to find CAMRA’s National Pub of the Year.
