Print
News: September 2016

New research reveals that British beer lovers are keen to know more about the beers on offer in pubs and bars.

The research for the 2017 Cask Report shows that 92% of customers would like more information about the beer styles available and that 60% felt that pubs don’t offer enough in the way of tasting notes. A further 36% believed that bar staff did not have an understanding of cask beer.

The tenth edition of the Cask Report also reveals that 81% of Cask Marque-accredited pubs are growing sales by an average of 4% year-on year, and that the cask ale category is worth £1.7 billion a year.

The full report – subtitled ‘How to Make Money from Cask’ – is available as a free download.
