CAMRA Launches 44th Edition of Beer Bible

News: September 2016

The 2017 edition of the Good Beer Guide has been published by the Campaign for Real Ale.

The new book features, as usual, more than 4,500 of the best real ale pubs across the country, but this time includes information on more than 1,700 breweries and their beers as the British beer revolution continues.

The Guide singles out London as a beer boom town and also looks at the thorny issue of beer finings, highlighting breweries such as Moor Beer in Somerset who do not use isinglass – a substance made from fish – to clarify their beers.

Guide editor Roger Protz also hits out at the Government’s new alcohol guidelines, declaring that they could be the start of a ‘rocky road to Prohibition’.
