Cyclops Celebrates Tenth Anniversary

The Cyclops beer description scheme that began with a simple, brief summary of Everards Tiger Best Bitter, is now ten years old.

The project was the brainchild of David Bremner, currently marketing director at Robinsons Brewery, and was conceived as a means of making it easier for drinkers to understand the character of beers on sale, using a few symbols and concise, straightforward descriptions.

Cyclops has now been adopted by more than 400 breweries, with tasting notes now compiled for more than 2,500 beers.
