UK Beer Sales Up Again

Print
News: August 2016

Sales of beer in the UK improved significantly in the second quarter of this year, according to figures released by the British Beer & Pub Association.

The organisation's quarterly Beer Barometer shows that overall beer sales were up 1.5% over the same period last year, with off-trade sales again leading the way, up 4.8% as retailers benefited from the European Football Championships.

On-trade sales, however, slid again, falling by 1.9%, although this was one of the smallest declines in the second quarter in recent years.
