Freedom’s Prototype Pale Ale

News: June 2016

Lager specialist Freedom Brewery has released its first pale ale.

The 4.2% ABV beer is brewed using Chinook and Cascade hops from the US, plus Motueka and Rakau hops from New Zealand. The malt grist includes some rye.

The keg and bottled beer has been named Prototype to reflect the fact that this may not be the finished article. Customers in thirty-five Mitchell & Butler Castle pubs and other independent outlets will have the summer to feedback comments about the product, which will then be adapted to create the beer that will go on permanent sale in September.
