West Berkshire Brewery Secures London Pub

Print
News: June 2016

West Berkshire Brewery has revealed the location of its first London pub.

Shillibeer’s in Islington will showcase the company’s cask ales as well as keg beers from its subsidiary Renegade range.

The Yattendon-based company has also agreed terms with its current landlord to construct a new £3 million brewhouse in a former dairy on the same site that will allow the brewery to expand its output ten-fold. It is expected to be operational from early 2017.

The new brewline, supplied by CFT in Parma, Italy, will be accompanied by a fully automated packaging line, capable of handling both bottles and cans, allowing West Berkshire to contract package for other producers.

The company’s crowdfunding scheme, via Seedrs and Asset Match, which aims to raise £1.5 million to cover the new investments, remains open until 14 June, with £1.36 million already achieved.
