Brewers Collaborate for Norwich Festival

Print
News: May 2016

Two of Norfolk’s breweries have joined forces to create a beer for this year’s Norwich City of Ale event, which begins on 26 May.

Poppyland and Norfolk BrewhouseNorfolk Brewhouse and Poppyland have teamed up to develop a new coffee beer, in conjunction with locally-based GreySeal Coffee.

The beer is unusual in being a golden-coloured coffee IPA, produced using Ethiopian coffee beans noted for their peach and honeycomb character that has been carefully cultivated by cold brewing the coffee for thirty-six hours.

The base beer is crafted from Norfolk Maris Otter barley and a blend of US and English hops.

It is available in two formats, a 6% ABV bottled version from Poppyland called GreySeal Coffee IPA and a 5% cask version from Norfolk Brewhouse called Moon Gazer Hop Bean IPA.
