Chapel Down Hits Brewery Funding Target

News: November 2015

Kent winery Chapel Down has secured the funding it requires to build its own brewery.

The Tenterden-based winery, which is the owner of the Curious Brew beer brands, currently brewed by Sussex neighbour Hepworth & Co, launched a crowdfunding scheme to finance the construction of a brewhouse in October. The £1 million target has now been exceeded but the offer remains open, allowing more investors to secure equity in the business.

The new brewery is to be built at Ashford next year. A visitor centre forms part of the plan.
