UK Beer Sales Bounce Back

Print
News: November 2015

Sales of beer in the UK sharply improved in the third quarter of this year, according to figures released by the British Beer & Pub Association.

The organisation's quarterly Beer Barometer shows that overall beer sales were up 3.9% over the same period last year, with off-trade sales again leading the way, up 9% as retailers stocked up for the Rugby World Cup. On-trade sales, however, were down by 1.2%.

Overall, sales this year are slightly lower than last year (0.4%), after a tricky first six months.
