A-B InBev and SABMiller Agree Deal

Print
News: November 2015

A deal to create the world's biggest brewing company has been agreed by A-B InBev and SABMiller.

After two months of offers and negotiation, the two giant brewers have settled on terms that will see SABMiller shareholders receive £44 a share in a deal worth £71 billion.

To try to avoid competition issues, SABMiller will offload its MillerCoors business in the US to Molson Coors but the new company will still be responsible for around 30% of all beer produced in the world.
