St Austell Relaunches Stout

Print
News: November 2015

Cornwall's St Austell Brewery has introduced a new stout to its range.

The new beer, Mena Dhu Cornish Stout, is a reworking of the company's 1913 Cornish Stout, with the strength reduced from 5.2% ABV to 4.5%. Six varieties of malt are used, the single hop is Fuggle and there is a subtle addition of liquorice root.

The beer, whose name means Black Hill in Cornish, is available on draught and bottle conditioned and will be sold nationally, after an initial introduction in the South-West.
