Milk Stout Named Scottish Champion Beer

News: July 2015

A beer from Aviemore has been named Champion Beer of Scotland by the Campaign for Real Ale.

Black Gold, produced by Cairngorm Brewery, was judged the best Scottish cask beer by a team of judges at the Scottish Real Ale Festival, held in Edinburgh.

The 4.4% ABV milk stout outpointed runner-up Scapa Special from Orkney's Highland Brewery, with Cromarty Brewing's Red Rock in third place.
