Print
News: June 2015

A castle, a tap and an old bridge feature among the winners in this year's CAMRA Pub Design Awards.

The winner of both a Refurbishment award and a Conservation award is The Castle at Edgehill, Oxfordshire, a listed, Gothic folly-castle dating from the mid-1740s, which is now a Hook Norton pub. Another Refurbishment winner is The Old Bridge at Kirkstall, Leeds, which operates as the tap for Kirkstall Brewery.

Venues Highly Commended this year for Conversion to Pub Use are The Harrogate Tap, on Harrogate station in Yorkshire, and The Wallaw in Blythe, Northumberland, a former 1930s cinema now operated by JD Wetherspoon.
