Rise of Premium Bottled Ales Continues

News: April 2015

Figures released by Marston's Beer Company reveal that sales of premium bottled ales continue to grow in the UK.

Over the past year, the total UK off-trade beer market has grown by 2.5%, with premium bottled ales – which have risen in value by £47 million and grown by 10.5% – a major driver. In the last five years, the premium bottled ale category has increased in value by 75% and remains on target to be worth more than £1 billion in 2020.

The figures form part of Marston's annual Premium Bottled Ales report, which focuses on ways in which brewers and retailers can help build the sector.
