Traquair Marks Half-Century

Print
News: April 2015

Traquair House Brewery, in the Scottish Borders, is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary with a limited-edition strong ale.

The country house brewery, which re-opened using original, forgotten, eighteenth-century equipment in 1965, has become known for its strong bottled ales.

For the brewery's half-century, a new dark beer, Traquair 50 (9% ABV), has been produced. Like other Traquair beers, it is fermented in oak vessels. Just 20,000 bottles are available.
